TAP @ Dundas opened the doors to it's brand new studio on Dundas Street in 2017. The TAP doesn't just represent one of the fabulous styles of dance that we offer, but actually the initials of our Principal, Tilly A. Pitman.
At TAP @ Dundas, we want all our students to get the best out of their dance journeys through our fun and encouraging environment. Dance helps children gain greater self-confidence, increase their fitness and activity, build stronger teamwork, improve listening and discipline, and improve their overall happiness!

I began dancing at the age of 5 in the Cecchetti Method of Classical Ballet with Ms Sandra Allan at Rosebud Ballet School. I later took up Tap at the age of 12 in the ATOD Method with Miss Melanie Gard. I have since completed all Classical Exams up to and including Advanced 2 and Tap exams up to and including Intermediate Seal.
In 2008 (aged 14) , I became a student assistant for the 3-4 year old Dance Play class and from there my love of teaching grew. I started teaching my first class in 2011 and each year I started teaching more and more. After I finished school, I went on to study full time at Box Hill Institute and in 2014, I graduated with my Diploma in Dance Teaching and Management. In 2015, I returned to Box Hill and obtained my Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
I became an Affiliate Teacher of ATOD in 2014 and entered my first group of students for their Tap Exams, all receiving exceptional results. I was also a secondary coach for junior students participating in Cecchetti Ballet Exams.
I began further studies in the Cecchetti Method and successfully obtained my Cecchetti Associate in 2016, Associate Diploma in 2018 and Licentiate in 2019. I plan to undertake the first part of the Enrico Cecchetti Diploma this year.
I love dance and everything that goes with it, and I love nothing more than passing on my knowledge and passion of dance to others.
